Message in 5th gear and do about 55-60 (with no pressure on the gas pedal), is it better to litterally coast in neutral while using the brakes to slow the car or let the engine compression do the work? The reason I ask is, I thought I read on this forum that you shouldn't down shift to slow the car down. I would much rather change out the brakes and rotors a bunch of times as opposed to unnessessarily wearing out my engine.
Thanks
